The government of the Republic of Panama formally registered the Church of Scientology of Panama on January 22, 2019, as a nonprofit organization with religious purposes. The Church of Scientology of Panama received full recognition in August 2022 as a tax-exempt religious entity registered with the Panamanian Tax Authority as a community-based organization working for the benefit of society.
